Part Four in the series sees Mosaic return to its signature sound of the late 90‘s : deep techno-tinged house.
First up is UK house legend Nail , who was in hiding in London and Suffolk for a while , but is now back in his bunker in Nottingham making music once again.
His offering, “Pharoah,” was created on Boxing Day 2013 especially for Mosaic and contains all the hallmarks of classic Nail productions of the 90‘s whilst maintaining a foot firmly in the present. If you like your house deep and sample heavy this cut is definitely worth checking out…
On the flip we have two tracks from newcomer Annie Errez. Annie is a resident DJ at the Mint Club in Leeds and has been developing her production skills over the last few years with appearances on Holic Trax , Saints & Sonnets as well as a very fine release on Strobewax which she co-runs with fellow Mint Club resident Bobby O’Donnell.
If deep techno- house is your cup of tea then put the kettle on and listen to the sublime “Bell Curve” and the dubbed out bass monster that is ‘Auguste.” We are sure that you will agree that there is no doubt that she will be a producer to keep an eye on in the future …

The next instalment of this nine part series sees Mosaic take a diversion into darker techno territory with contributions from Ed Davenport, Aubrey and Ozka.
Over the last few years Ed has been quietly gaining respect from those who like their house splashed with a good dose of techno. The Berghain regular’s “Bloodchild” rides the fine line between both genres perfectly with a dark twisted bass line driven groove and eerie vocal line that typifies his unique sound.
Next up is Aubrey who has provided a storming techno monster of a remix of Ed Davenport’s unreleased “Islands.” A very welcome return to the label after a 17 year break and when seen alongside his recent Ostgut Ton, Ferox and Metroplex appearances it is no wonder that people are calling 2014 his best year yet.
Belgian techno wizkid David Nizet (aka Ozka) provides the closing track to the EP. Despite having recorded for the likes of Dave Angel’s Rotation and Mowar this guy has been bubbling under the radar for some time . With forthcoming contributions to John Beltrans Dado and Arne Weinberg’s Diametric coming up we are sure his talent won’t go unnoticed for much longer . Check out the wonderful bass line driven dub-stab-fest he has given us in “Thirteen years” if you have any doubts!

This time is Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’ to get the dancefloor treatment from an undisclosed artist of the Berlin scene.  Already played by Alex Picone and extensively road-tested on the DC10 terrace by Dyed Soundroom, ‘Django Unchained pt 1 & 2’ is set to be a subtle killer on the floors. The A side is a slow & deep tech affair, with a darkish mood. On the B side the tempo pitches up and changes the vibe. Don’t sleep on it!
