Masomanos – Le Serpent EP Label:Welcome To Masomenos Catalog#:WTM034 Format:12″ Vinyl Country:Paris Released:2014
Masomenos closing the summer with their own Le Serpent EP . Four typical outstanding quality tracks from the creative and arty label from Paris.
First track “follow me” is a cooperation with the female singer Khansa Batma and the guitar riffs of M’hamed El Menjra from Morocco.
second one “naza” with hypnotic experimental vocals of masomenos themselves. the flip side starts with the fabulous “abdouyoudo” track, straight grooving club track with drums and features of Wareika’s Jakob Seidensticker & Bardia Salour. with sick and crazy hardware synths comes the B2 called “bleep” and closes the EP.
Masomenos & Jay Haze – Hazy Duck EP Label:Welcome To Masomenos Catalog#:WTM033 Format:12″ Vinyl Country:Paris Released:2013
Commencing their 2013 release schedule with a glint in their eye and a friend by their side, Masomenos return to feed our ears with their cerebral brand of house and techno. This also marks the first appearance of the year for Jay Haze, a veritable hero of the freakier side of the night, and here the American-born Berliner shares the spotlight with Adrien for four tracks that run deep and far into the recesses of psychoactive dance music. Jay has championed creative minimal production since he first emerged with his celebrated Contexterrior and Tuning Spork labels, achieving many great releases, collaborations, aliases, mixes, shows and projects that firmly place him as a figurehead of the European scene. His vision for intricate and tripped-out grooves fits perfectly with the Masomenos ethos, which has resulted in this mind-bending EP of stripped-back splendour. “Hazy Duck” knows just how to tap away at the nerves, letting sinister trickles of melody run into each other while the sub bass lolls drunkenly underneath. As if the delicate patterns weren’t enough to creep you out, in comes a voice straight from the netherworld intent on paying homage to Lionel Richiewith a deadpan delivery. ..
Upload by:OsloGround Line up : Masomenos (Adrien) Title : Masomenos (Adrien) live @ Ballroom , Oslo 21-12-2012 (HD) Credits: Masomenos, is a productive partnership between Joan Costes, a graphic designer and DJ, and Adrien de Maublanc, a producer and sound engineer. They both clearly have a ball with ‘Welcome to Masomenos’ an audio-visual system they use to produce their spontaneous, lighthearted, psychedelic, no limits universe.

So, This Ep Is The Start Of A New Series, And A Delicious Example On How To Effectively Create Different Moods.. St Jacut (with Lemos, Feat. Jaw (dop) Is The Charming Vocal Opener… Go On My Son (with Lemos) Is The Classic Housey Lift-up, Tomorrow (feat Jaw (dop) Got That Reflective Vibe. Finally Tofidi (with Lemos) Is An Ohhh So Effective Masterpiece…yeppa.!!
Credits: It s been a while we ve been hearing from Argenis Brito and Pier Bucci, teaming up as MAMBOTUR. The originals features a nice fusion of classic south american “LATINO” elements with a lil electronic dip. This means a verrrry relaxante combinacion! AIAIAIAI! …or so. The remixes delivered are – foreseeably – more on the electronic side: Masomenos squeeze a non 4 to the floor groove oout of the original and intensify the track for the dancefloor, whilst “the man himself” Ricardo Villalobos (do i need to write down his full name actually) shows what happens when he is boarding the MAMBOTUR plane. Better fasten ur seatbelts clubbers and clubberettes for this epic…. ehm… journey.
