Brand new, London-based imprint, OTHERTONES, launches with a stellar three track release from Dan Farserelli and Romanian artist MP, entitled ‘Fat Cap’ and backed with a Baby Ford Remix. The labels aim is pretty simple, tipping its focus towards releasing quality underground electronic music across the board from associates in the industry, while also welcoming established artists respected by the label-heads.
Here its inaugural release embraces a low-slung, stripped-back house aesthetic, with raw, gritty sounds and a profound depth instilled in the productions. Baby Ford adds a further weight to package with a dubbed-out ethereal interpretation of the title track. This is intelligent listening and a great indication whats to come, with this brand new imprint packing a punch from the very off.

For their first release of 2013, Moscow Recordings co-founder Archie Hamilton teams up with fellow London based producer, Dan Farserelli for the ‘Better Hide EP’

First appearing together on esteemed house and techno label Fear of Flying, Hamilton and Farserelli showcased their penchant for deep, brooding, techy tinged house music inspired by labels such as Perlon and [a:rpia:r].

Built around a subby bottom end, ‘Better Hide’ comprises of well placed percussive elements and wet snares that build into a deep and somewhat introspective track with its eerie, hollow synth work.

‘Jackall’ follows suit with an equally moody vibe but steps up the intensity with resonant metallic synths and percussion.

On remix duties Romanian, Faster, turns in a sub heavy re-work on ‘Better Hide’ that demonstrates class and restraint and pays homage to the original.

Moscow Records continue to push forward thinking house and begin the New Year like they mean to go on, MOSCOW009 is out mid Jan.

Nuovo Brand, neonato ma che porta gia’ con sè dalla data di nascita uno scheletro molto importante e una vena artistica niente male.

Per il primo appuntamento di WE LOVE INTERNATIONAL si alterneranno in consolle DAN ANDREI, giovane astro nascente rumeno proveniente della ormai nota famiglia a:rpia:r di Raresh e compagni, ora gia’ pronto ad infiammare molti club europei ed insieme a lui un degno compagno di merende: ALEX PICONE direttamente dalla Cadenza, etichetta a noi cara, amico e grande talento internazionale ormai quasi piu’ Berlinese che Padovano.
Insieme ai due ospiti ci saranno i nostri portabandiera Francesco del Garda (.. avvistato piu’ volte nei peggiori bar di Bucharest) e We Love Family, gruppo di casa, Bolognese Doc che aprira’ una delle feste piu’ importanti dell’anno.
