Fear of Flying delve into 2013 with a look back to the past with this solid 4 tracker of tracks from Nottingham’s Nail. Originally released on the UK’s revered DIY Discs imprint all the tracks on this ep have proven hard to get hold of over the preceding years with nary a copy available on Discogs for anything less than a King’s Ransom.
‘Clear My Mind’ was recently featured on Dyed Soundorom’s DJ Mag covermount mix whilst ‘Try’ was included on Andrew Weatherall’s early ‘Essential’ mixes and ‘Til The Feelings Gone’ was a standout on the recent Fabric compilation by Zip. With a pedigree like that its an easy choice to make, especially with the bonus cut ‘Optimus’ which proves to be the tougher of the 4 tracks giving a nice rounded edge to the ep.
